Job Description

The Corporate Accounting Manager will manage accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. This person will oversee the corporate accounting and accounts payable functions, including the month end close process and preparation of reports in support of the financial statements.

The Corporate Accounting Manager will report to the Director of Accounting and will work closely with other Accounting professionals and departments.

The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid corporate accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Day-to-day

• Manage the month-end close for Corporate entities, including key financial areas such as general ledger accounting, fixed assets, and accounts payable.
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Work with site finance teams to ensure that intercompany transactions are properly recorded and eliminating appropriately.
• Manage the AP function to ensure the consistent, on-time payment of invoices and employee expense reimbursements.
• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly budget vs. actual variance analyses and other internal management reports.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and internal controls in a SOX environment.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and systems, implement best practices, and improve the efficiency and accuracy of month end close.
• Assist with quarterly and annual process for filing the Form 10-Q & 10-K.
• Assist with the internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor questions to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Develop future leaders through talent development, training and mentoring of individuals.
  
  

Is This You?

• 6 years of experience in a combination of industry and public accounting experience with 3 years in a corporate accounting function
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, MAcc a plus
• CPA preferred
• Strong understanding of US GAAP required
• SAP experience required, OneStream experience a plus
• Mining experience a plus
• Strong project management skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
• Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office products
  
  

For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $130-$150,000. Benefits: 401(k); medical/dental/vision insurance; employee share purchase plan, PTO, and STI.
