Brief Description
Coordinates area associate work activities to achieve output requirements of quality, quantity/pieces, and on-time shipping of product to customers. Provide assistance to supervisor with work coordination and assignments, training, and trouble-shooting work problems to minimize work interruptions, and delayed shipments. Responsible for department/ work area and can perform with little direction.

Coordinates area associate work activities to achieve output requirements of quality, quantity/pieces, and on-time shipping of product to customers. Provide assistance to supervisor with work coordination and assignments, training, and trouble-shooting work problems to minimize work interruptions, and delayed shipments. Responsible for department/ work area and can perform with little direction.
Essential Functions
- Oversight of assembly cells ensuring work assigned is completed timely and accurately to meet customer demand with help from supervisor.
- Work closely with support staff such as Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications.
- Participate as an active member of the assembly team and assembles products.
- Maintain standard work and update as needed.
- Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communications.
- Perform 5S duties, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Has mastery of all assembly positions.
- Assist in training associates on the processes and procedures of the department.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methods and tools to make work process improvements.
- Observe and apply department and company Safety policies and procedures.
- Additional tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
- Basic leadership skills in dealing with people effectively.
- Ability to guide others toward task and goal achievement.

- Warehouse/manufacturing work environment.
- Frequent lifting of 5 to 35 pounds.
- Occasional lifting, bending, stooping twisting.
- Reaching and bending to retrieve materials.
- Some exposure to cold with overhead shipping door(s) open for short periods.
- Frequent movements between work areas.
- Many hours standing/walking involved (10 )
- High School Diploma or GED
- One to Three years of assembly experience required.
- Five years of assembly experience, preferred.
- One to two years computer experience including data entry, Word, Excel, and Outlook, preferred.
