Summary/Objective

Responsible for supporting plant operations through inventory control, material handling, receiving, and waste management. Ensures the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Works closely with multiple departments to support production needs and maintain an organized, efficient work environment.

Essential Functions

  • Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts, to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Receive, verify, and distribute raw materials, supplies, equipment, and deliveries to support production and facility operations for internal departments and external vendors.
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, and material handling equipment to safely unload, move, and store materials.
  • Utilize a Niton X-Ray Analyzer to verify material composition and ensure material accuracy.
  • Process receiving documentation, purchase orders, and related records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate receiving, material, and quality records, including Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), ensuring proper document retention, traceability, and compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and company quality management system requirements.
  • Manage hazardous waste and scrap material collection, documentation, and removal in compliance with environmental and company requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain facility oils, coolants, and other production support materials.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment in accordance with 5S standards and assist with material handling activities throughout the facility as needed.
  • Assist with Outside Processing and Tool Crib Operations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing and production environment.
  • Exposure to machinery, forklifts, cranes, and industrial equipment.
  • Moderate to high noise levels; PPE required.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, oils, and coolants.
  • Adherence to safety and 5S workplace standards.
  • Must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 lbs.

Entry Level Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Forklift (Tow Motor) certification preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, inventory control, and material handling processes preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, and Word) preferred.
