Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Perfusionist based in St. Louis, MO. The Perfusionist will operate heart-lung machines and other equipment during surgical procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. They will collaborate closely with surgeons and anesthesiologists, monitor patient vitals, administer medications or blood products, and ensure proper functioning of life-support devices. The role also includes documentation of procedures and maintenance of equipment to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Perfusion and Cardiopulmonary support
- Experience with Cardiac Surgery and related procedures
- Knowledge of Surgery and its dynamic clinical environment
- Strong understanding of current medical practices and technologies
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams and maintain clear communication
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field and completion of an accredited perfusionist training program
- Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and Missouri state licensure
