Position Summary:
The Perfusionist plays a critical role in patient care by operating and monitoring extracorporeal circulation and blood‑testing equipment during surgical procedures at Johns Hopkins Hospital. This position works closely with the surgical team, supports education around perfusion practices, and may serve as a clinical instructor.
Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital Baltimore, MD
Schedule: Rotating schedule 5 out of 7 days a week; will include rotation for Holidays, On- Call, and Weekends

Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor extracorporeal circulation and blood‑testing equipment during surgical procedures at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
- Educate hospital staff and visitors on perfusion practices.
- Serve as a clinical instructor for students during clinical rotations (optional).
- Participate in non‑clinical duties as assigned by the Chief Perfusionist.
- Fulfill on‑call and weekend responsibilities as scheduled by the Chief Perfusionist.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Graduate of an American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP)–accredited perfusion program.
- Current Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) or certification‑eligible.
- Holds a valid Maryland state perfusion license in accordance with the Maryland Board of Physicians.
