Role Overview
As a Senior Account Executive for the Euro-zone, you will be responsible for driving the growth of SSL.Com’s cybersecurity and digital trust services throughout the European market. Your focus will be on identifying and winning new business, expanding existing relationships, and navigating the complex regulatory and procurement environment unique to the EU. You will target both private sector enterprises and public sector organizations, acting as a trusted advisor and solution seller.
This is an individual contributor role with high visibility and strategic importance. You must be self-motivated, able to manage the entire sales cycle independently, and comfortable operating across multi-jurisdictional environments. A strong understanding of the European digital identity and trust ecosystem is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new enterprise and government customers across EU member states.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key decision-makers, procurement teams, and stakeholders in both public and private sectors.
- Identify customer needs and craft tailored digital trust and cybersecurity solutions that address compliance, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals, often in competitive or complex sales processes.
- Maintain a robust and accurate sales pipeline using CRM tools; forecast and report results regularly to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with technical and product teams to ensure successful onboarding, implementation, and customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities within the digital identity and cybersecurity space in Europe.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of successful enterprise software, SaaS, or cybersecurity sales experience within the European market.
- Demonstrated track record of selling complex solutions to both private enterprise and government/public sector customers in Europe.
- Skilled at uncovering customer challenges and building value-based technology proposals.
- Able to independently manage sales pipelines, build relationships, and drive deals from prospecting to close.
- Knowledge of the sales challenges presented by Europe’s multilingual and cross-border business environment.
- Effective in remote sales environments and capable of navigating multi-language interactions.
- Proficient in using CRM (such as HubSpot or Salesforce) and productivity platforms (Slack, Confluence, Trello).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of digital trust solutions such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), digital signatures, cloud security, or certificate authorities.
- Familiarity with EU regulations and frameworks, including digital identity, trust services, and compliance standards.
- Understanding of public procurement or tendering processes within European government agencies.
- Experience engaging with IT procurement teams, trust service providers, or industry working groups in the EU.
Language Skills
- English Required. German, Spanish, French preferred.
