Responsibilities
- Support microbiology-related methods, including endotoxin, bioburden, sterility, and other compendial microbial control activities.
- Perform hands-on laboratory work for troubleshooting, feasibility activities, and validation studies related to rapid microbiology methods.
- Contribute to sterile filter validation efforts and support studies needed for QC laboratory operations.
- Review regulation and pharmacopeia changes, assess impact, and assist with protocol and summary report reviews from contract testing labs.
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of scientific experience, Master’s degree and 4 years of scientific experience, or Doctorate degree.
- Experience in QC microbiology laboratory work.
- Knowledge of FDA CFRs, EMA Annex 1, and pharmacopeias.
- Experience troubleshooting microbiology methods, including endotoxin/LER, and supporting sterile filter validation.
