Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Beaverton, OR (On-site)

Job Summary: We are seeking a data-focused professional to help design and deliver reliable data products and features that support business priorities. Our team is partnering with a leading organization on an urgent need for a candidate who can contribute to scalable data processing, strengthen data capabilities, and support the development of new data products.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of data products and features in collaboration with product owners, data analysts, and business partners using Agile / Scrum methodology.
• Support the architecture, frameworks, and patterns used to process and store large volumes of data.
• Build distributed data processing pipelines and develop utilities, user-defined functions, libraries, and frameworks that improve data flow patterns.
• Troubleshoot data issues, perform root cause analysis, and work across teams to resolve operational and performance issues.
  
  

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 10 years of experience in large-scale software development and 5 years of big data experience.
• Programming experience with Python or Scala preferred, plus experience with Hadoop and processing frameworks such as Spark and Hive.
• Experience with SQL, SQL analytical functions, workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, and source code control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Experience with messaging, streaming, or complex event processing tooling and frameworks.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work in an Agile / Scrum environment, and quickly learn new languages, technologies, and frameworks.
