Job Title: Assistant Electrical Detailer

Location: Brea, California (On-site)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced professional to provide high-quality drafting and detailing support for electrical substation design projects within the electric utility industry. Our team values accuracy and a strong understanding of project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify detailed design drawings, layouts, and construction documents for electrical substation systems.
• Ensure all work complies with client standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Produce accurate, detailed drawings for substation equipment, layouts, grounding, conduit, and electrical plans.
• Apply drafting best practices and quality control procedures throughout all assigned projects.
  
  

Required

• Bachelor Degree in drafting technology or related field with minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical utility design related to electrical substation systems; OR Associate Degree with minimum 3 years of hands-on experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in electrical utility design related to electrical substation systems.
• Minimum three years of experience in the electric utility industry with a strong focus on electrical substation design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation CONNECT for electrical drafting and detailing; MicroStation must be listed on resume.
• Experience producing detailed drawings for substation equipment, layouts, grounding, conduit, and electrical plans, adhering to utility standards and quality control procedures.
