Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Facilities Operative to join our dynamic
team.
Key Responsibilities:
To complete a wide range of proactive and reactive site maintenance, repair and improvement activities, in a professional manner. Responding to responsive repair requests and undertaking planned preventative maintenance activities within the target dates, to ensure WML estates are safe, secure and maintained to the level necessary to support our success and growth as a world leading manufacturing facility, while providing a first-class working environment for our people.
What you’ll be doing
Operational standards:
• Action and complete allocated duties, including responsive repairs, planned preventative maintenance and improvement project related tasks, within target timescales, ensuring that your work is completed in a safe, effective and efficient manner and in line with relevant policies and procedures.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations, ensuring adequate communication with your team and other stakeholders.
• Maintain allocated equipment to the standard required for safe and effective use.
• Monitor and co-ordinate contractor site activity as required by the Facilities Team Leader and/or Facilities Manager to achieve maximum value for money and compliance with our codes of business and operational procedures and standards.
• Represent the Company and the Facilities function in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Reporting and communication:
• Maintain complete and accurate records and paperwork relevant to your work and as required by your supervisory team.
• Meet at agreed intervals with the Facilities Team Leader to review operational efficiency and progress towards business objectives and to agree actions needed to enable them to be successfully met.
• Contribute to the preparation of key performance indicators, as agreed with the Facilities Team Leader, to direct and assess internal activity and contracted services.
• Monitor and report on the condition of site facilities to ensure any necessary repairs are entered and actioned promptly.
Planning, projects and improvements:
• Identify and report issues that affect service delivery to support continuous improvement.
• Contribute to allocated site projects as required by the Facilities Team Leader and/or Facilities Manager.
• Pro-actively pursue your agreed, personal development aims to optimise your ability to inform and contribute to our mutual success.

Skills/Experience:
You’ll require technical level knowledge and ability in facilities maintenance sufficient to enable compliance with relevant regulations, British Standards and industry codes of practice.
You will also require the ability to multi-task and to tackle a wide variety of non-related and non-standard tasks.
