What you’ll be doing:
- Maintain and repair coke handling equipment used in plant operations, including equipment such as:
- Belt conveyors
- Heavy equipment
- Hydraulic and lubrication pump systems
- Railcar loading systems
- Coke drum un-heading and re-heading equipment
- Bridge cranes
- Pumps, motors, hydraulics, etc.
- Other coke handling and refinery machinery
- Performing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
- Inspecting equipment before and after shifts
- Following all site safety rules and procedures
- Keeping accurate maintenance and service records
- Using maintenance systems (such as CMMS) to track work
- Supporting the Savage Maintenance Program
- Assisting with other duties as assigned
Requirements to be successful in this position:
- Experience with mechanical repairs and industrial equipment
- Basic electrical knowledge (such as 24V–480V systems); PLC experience is helpful
- Basic computer skills for entering and tracking work
- Strong organization and time management skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred experience working on: conveyor systems and related components, cranes or heavy material handling equipment
- Preferred experience working as: boilermaker, millwright, industrial service tech, etc.
- Experience with industrial maintenance programs or systems
- Ability to meet various pre-employment requirements which may include but not limited to:
- Valid TWIC Card
- Criminal background check
- Drug and alcohol screening
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review; valid Driver's license required
- Fitness-for-duty assessment to ensure that candidates can safely perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to receive and maintain site access credentials or badges per site-requirements
