We are a leading regional accounting services firm and we are looking to expand our Client Accounting Services team with an Accounting Specialist for a growth position in our Salina, Kansas office.

We are a leading regional accounting services firm and we are looking to expand our Client Accounting Services team with an Accounting Specialist for a growth position in our Salina, Kansas office.
Primary duties are:
- Prepare and process weekly or biweekly payrolls;
- Prepare required multi state tax filings and record activity in the general ledger;
- Reconcile bank to financial records;
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform monthly financial closing process
- Ensure revenue/expenses are properly recorded
- Prepare operating budgets and forecasts
- Prepare reporting for accounts receivables and aging of accounts
- Review and process accounts payable transactions
- Ability to generate invoices and record receipts
- Prepare and manage sales & use tax returns for multiple states
- A bachelor's degree and/or previous accounting coursework is preferred and will be considered a strong asset for success in this role
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or payroll preparation
- Strong analytical skills
- Skilled in accounting technology including spreadsheets
- Experience with accounting systems including QuickBooks Online
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to interact with clients and peers
- Experience with the Microsoft suite of applications is required
