Position Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business by finding, qualifying, and nurturing potential clients in the construction industry and expanding the company's market share. They achieve this through market research, cold outreach (calls and emails), and building relationships with contractors, dealers, clients, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Client generation: Proactively identify and prospect new clients through cold calling, emailing, and other outreach methods.
- Sales pipeline management: Nurture leads and move them through the sales funnel, often in collaboration with the sales team.
- Strategy development: Contribute to developing and implementing strategies for market expansion and growth.
- Client needs analysis: Identify and understand the needs of potential clients to propose suitable building material solutions.
- All other duties as assigned
- 1 years of experience in calling and appointment-setting, preferably in a building products-based B2B environment.
- Focused and goal-oriented
- Strong verbal communication skills and phone presence
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software; Salesforce preferred.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
