Job Description:
Our client, a growing flexible packaging manufacturer, is seeking a driven Sales Executive to accelerate new business growth across food & beverage, CPG, cannabis, pet food, coffee, tea, and related manufacturing sectors. This is a true hunter role — you'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, with significant autonomy and direct visibility with company leadership.
Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities; build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
Develop relationships with manufacturers, brands, co-packers, and converters
Generate new sales through cold calling, networking, referrals, and outbound outreach
Sell stand-up pouches, lay-flat pouches, rollstock, custom films, and related flexible packaging products
Present customized packaging solutions based on customer requirements
Manage and grow newly acquired accounts; ensure retention and identify upsell opportunities
Understand pricing, margins, and profitability; drive profitable revenue growth
Travel approximately 30% for in-person meetings and industry events
Requirements:
3 years of B2B sales experience with a proven hunter mentality
Experience selling flexible packaging (stand-up pouches, rollstock, custom films, or related products)
Existing relationships within food & beverage, CPG, cannabis, or manufacturing sectors
Strong negotiation and closing skills; ability to manage a territory independently
Located in Michigan or a neighboring state
Willingness to travel ~30%
Preferred:
Experience with digital/custom printed packaging, sustainable packaging, or food-grade packaging
Background in food, pet food, coffee/tea, snack, or cannabis manufacturing
SQF-certified environment exposure; margin-based selling experience
Midwest territory experience
Compensation & Benefits:
$90,000–$110,000 base commission
Remote position
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
