Position OverviewWe’re looking for an experienced HR Manager who brings a strong background in employment law, contracts, and compliance—particularly within the skilled trades or construction/refrigeration industries. This individual will lead HR operations across multiple states, ensuring policies align with legal standards while supporting our growing workforce.Responsibilities- Oversee full-cycle HR operations including recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee relations.
- Develop and maintain compliant policies, procedures, and employee handbooks across multi-state operations.
- Review, draft, and manage employment contracts, subcontractor agreements, and vendor documentation.
- Advise leadership on labor laws, compliance updates, and risk management.
- Manage investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Partner with management to ensure fair practices and a positive work culture.
- Collaborate with payroll and accounting teams to ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance.
- Monitor changes in state and federal employment law affecting company policies and procedures.
- 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in construction, refrigeration, or HVAC industries.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, contracts, and compliance across multiple states.
- Experience with employee relations, investigations, and workforce planning.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
