Description

The Distribution Education Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and owning the end-to-end operations of education classes and events as part of this channel. This role ensures seamless delivery of high-quality educational experiences by managing distributor relationships and class operations, engaging with educators, optimizing logistics, participating in sales meetings, and collaborating closely with other cross functional teams to strengthen sales, curriculum, assets, and the overall education strategy. They serve as the operational backbone of driving excellence, consistency, and education support at every step in the process. 


Travel Required: 50% for meetings, shows and events


Core Responsibilities 

Education Planning, Management & Execution 

  • Plan, manage and execute the overall education strategy for Beauty Industry Group and the distribution channel 
  • Plan, schedule, and execute distribution education classes from start to finish, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.  
  • Maintain and distribute education schedules, agendas, class assets, and educator materials to ensure full readiness and alignment.  
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for distributor partners, educators, and coordinators regarding event logistics, expectations, and troubleshooting.  
  • Attend required sales meetings, education events and other tradeshows, to support distributor partner relationships, other internal team members, and to represent Beauty Industry Group. 

Educator Support & Enablement  

  • Ensure educators are equipped with curriculum, class materials, product knowledge, and execution guidance needed for successful sessions.  
  • Provide ongoing support, communication, and resources to educators to maintain alignment with education standards and brand expectations.  
  • Gather educator feedback to identify needed improvements in curriculum, assets, or operational processes. 

Curriculum, Content & Asset Collaboration 

  • Partner with the Director of Education to ideate and refine curriculum, class content, and supporting assets.  
  • Provide operational insights that influence curriculum improvements, educator needs, and class experience enhancements. 
  • Support the creation, organization, and upkeep of class materials, ensuring they stay aligned with brand strategy and evolving distribution needs. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Education, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience) to ensure seamless alignment on education priorities, product launches, and distribution initiatives. 
  • Communicate regularly with key distribution partners and internal stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and excellence in execution. 

Logistics, Travel & Operational Coordination 

  • Manage education logistics for distribution classes and events, including venue coordination, materials preparation, equipment needs, shipments, scheduling, and participant communication. 
  • Handle travel bookings for educators and relevant team members, ensuring efficient itineraries, cost-effective choices, and timely communication. 
  • Oversee and process educator reimbursements, ensuring accuracy, adherence to policy, and timely turnaround. 
  • Maintain strong communication with educators to ensure they have travel details, class materials, and logistical support required for seamless execution. 

Budget Reporting & Financial Management 

  • Track, manage, and report on the education budget, including travel spend, reimbursements, materials costs, venue fees, and education-related expenses. 
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure alignment with department budget guidelines. 
  • Partner with leadership to review spend trends, forecast needs, and identify cost-saving or efficiency opportunities while protecting class quality. 

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement 

  • Track, analyze, and report on class performance, attendance, and feedback to measure effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities. 
  • Monitor trends and class outcomes to recommend operational enhancements and curriculum adjustments. 
  • Support budget tracking and financial reporting for education when applicable.  

Issue Resolution 

  • Address and resolve issues or complaints related to education operations, logistics, or educator execution, ensuring professional communication and timely solutions.  

Requirements


Experience 

  • 3 years in education operations, training coordination, or program management, ideally within professional beauty. 
  • Experience managing logistics, events, and developing educational programs. 
  • Experience in forward facing customer interactions, support and delivery of content, whether in-person, or through digital means. 
  • Prior education experience working in regional or national distribution . 

Education & Technical Skills 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple classes and timelines simultaneously. 
  • Comfortable presenting during virtual and in person sales or education meetings. 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Monday.com, Netsuite and other digital tools or platforms used for tracking, scheduling, and content management. 
  • Comfortable with re-enforcing and communicating the education strategy with multiple stakeholders and external partners.
