Responsibilities
Program & Event Design
- Deliver SRQ Strong proprietary disaster recovery training throughout Florida.
- Design and implement trauma-informed programs and events aligned with SRQ Strong's mission and values. Collaborate with facilitators, partners, and community stakeholders to develop responsive, meaningful programming.
- Create event schedules, timelines, and run-of-show plans that set the team up for success.
Event Management & Hosting
- Coordinate all logistics for in-person and virtual events, including venues, vendors, materials, promotion, and volunteers.
- Serve as a welcoming on-site or virtual host, managing registration and ensuring a smooth participant experience from start to finish.
- Oversee post-event follow-up and documentation.
Measurement, Evaluation & Impact
- Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to assess program effectiveness and community impact.
- Translate findings into clear, accessible insights for internal learning, funder reporting, and community storytelling.
- Communicate outcomes in formats that are engaging and appropriate for diverse audiences.
Community Engagement & Volunteer Coordination
- Recruit, train, and engage volunteers in meaningful and sustainable ways.
- Coordinate volunteer scheduling across programs and cultivate relationships with partner organizations and subject matter experts to strengthen events and outreach.
Collaboration & Administration
- Work closely with organizational leadership to align programming and impact measurement with strategic goals.
- Maintain organized records, timelines, and documentation across programs, evaluations, and reports.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop coordinated materials that support and promote community programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in program coordination, facilitation, community engagement, or event management.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed or community-based programming.
- Demonstrated ability to develop program goals, track metrics, and communicate impact.
- Experience with Zeffy or similar event registration platforms.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of local community networks and partners in Sarasota and Manatee Counties a plus.
Work Environment
Hybrid role requiring travel throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Evening and weekend hours are required for events and community meetings.
This position will be hourly with the possibility of becoming fulltime exempt.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
