COMMUNITY IMPACT COORDINATOR

JOB SUMMARY
The Community Impact Coordinator provides oversight of The Palm Garden Campus, primarily the Vern and Sandy Buchanan Children’s Center, by ensuring efficient day‑to‑day operations of the facility while strategically engaging churches, donors, volunteers, and community partners to advance One More Child’s mission to serve vulnerable children and struggling families.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Recruit individuals, churches, community groups, and businesses for tours, volunteer opportunities, and OMC Global mission trips.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with donors, partners, and vendors.
- Represent OMC at speaking engagements and events throughout the community.
- Provide oversight of the volunteer process, including collaboration on systems, scheduling, orientation meetings, working directly with groups, stewardship, and more.
- Coordinate events and training for vulnerable children and struggling families with the assistance of other OMC staff.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Operations Team to develop and maintain a system of processes and procedures for inbound and outbound gift-in-kind donations.
- Track and report monthly metrics related to volunteer engagement, community partnerships, and gift‑in‑kind value to support organizational reporting and continuous improvement.
- Oversee facility logistics through coordination with other staff to ensure the day-to-day center operations are efficient, with a focus on serving both clients and community partners.
- Travel for events, speaking engagements, or other activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years of professional work and/or additional education or training in nonprofit, ministry, community engagement, or a related field is beneficial.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences, including volunteers, donors, churches, and community partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and ability to utilize new software, such as project management and donor databases.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a collaborative, team oriented approach.
- Initiative driven, solution oriented mindset with an elevated level of personal responsibility and follow through.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment.
- Proven experience coordinating projects, events, volunteers, or community initiatives.
- Willing to work on call.

This job requires the ability to work in stressful conditions from time to time and remain focused for extended periods of time. The ability to lift up to 30 pounds (boxes, documents, and equipment).
