Your Mission & Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials within the quarry and to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Plan routes, follow delivery schedules, and communicate proactively with dispatch and team members.
- Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading, verifying delivery instructions and ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
- Keep your truck clean and well-maintained, performing minor repairs as needed.
- Represent SRM with professionalism and a commitment to exceptional service on every job.
- Valid Class B CDL and a proven record of safe driving.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
- Excellent vision, hand-eye coordination, and physical fitness to perform all driving and maintenance tasks.
- Effective communication skills for working with dispatchers, coworkers, and customers.
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage time to meet delivery schedules.
- Positive, “go-getter” mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
- Experience in dump truck or heavy equipment operation is helpful, but a strong work ethic and eagerness to serve are most important.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
