Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling vehicles, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process cash, credit, and debit transactions
- Upsell products such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Conduct product demos or provide information about store merchandise when needed
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and perform merchandising to keep the station attractive and well-stocked
- Handle cash handling duties with precision, including balancing registers at shift end
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking inquiries
Requirements
- Prior cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively in bilingual settings (English/Spanish or other languages)
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management
- Experience with POS systems and retail math to ensure accurate transactions
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and cleaning
