Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: MA
Duration: 6 Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to support the Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) product line. This position is primarily responsible for sustaining engineering activities, addressing end-of-life (EOL) electronic components, and supporting legacy medical device products. The engineer will work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality electrical hardware solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and modify electrical and electronic hardware for medical device products.
- Support sustaining engineering initiatives for released products.
- Resolve component obsolescence and identify suitable replacement components.
- Perform electrical design analysis to improve product reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and update schematics, PCB designs, and engineering documentation using Altium Designer.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical hardware issues and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation following company standards.
- Support design verification, testing, and product lifecycle activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
- 7 years of experience in electrical/electronic hardware design (5 years with a Master's degree).
- Hands-on expertise with Altium Designer.
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, PCB design, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience with sustaining engineering and component obsolescence management.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Medical device or medical imaging experience is highly preferred.
Salary : $40 - $50
