About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality care in a hospital setting in Buffalo, NY. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for assigned patient populations, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to promote optimal outcomes. You will be responsible for patient/family education, documentation, and adherence to facility policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, medical histories, and record changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and observe patient reactions, reporting issues as needed.
- Develop individualized care plans and coordinate with physicians, other nurses, and allied health professionals to implement and revise care as needed.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Document care delivered and patient responses in compliance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement, data collection, and cost-effective resource usage.
- Collaborate in discharge planning, communicating needs and coordinating care transitions.
- Uphold patient advocacy, safety, confidentiality, and ethical nursing practice.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

- Minimum [1-2] years of nursing experience in an acute care/hospital setting (or equivalent)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) preferred depending on unit
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to prioritize and respond in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills – patient, family, and interdisciplinary team interaction
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard documentation practices
