What are the responsibilities and job description for the IC Design Engineer I position at SRI?
An IC Design Engineer is required by the Microcircuit Emulation Center at SRI International (formerly Sarnoff Corporation) to support the manufacturing of microcircuits (integrated circuits). Through SRI's Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) program, the Microcircuit Emulation Center (MEC) supplies form, fit, function, and interface replacements for obsolete microcircuits. This capability supports production, redesign, and sustainment requirements for the life of a weapon system. SRI’s Microcircuit Emulation Center is a government-supported, U.S.-based Trusted foundry. This role will be based in our Princeton, NJ location.

Responsibilities
- Design, simulation and verification of digital & analog circuits
- Review specifications and requirements to determine appropriate design to emulate the original part
- Design and verification of analog circuits, including OpAmps, Comparators and Regulators
- Support layout engineers with the layout of macro cells and ensure correct post-layout functionality
- Work with test engineers to develop characterization and qualification tests
- US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government contract requirements.
- Minimum BS in computer or electrical engineering
- Understanding of CAD tools (Schematic entry, layout, DRC, LVS, etc.)
- Understanding of basic VLSI concepts
- Experience with design, simulation and verification using schematic capture, SPICE simulation, HDL modeling and verification

Salary : $72,153 - $83,880
