What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metallographic Lab Technician Level I position at SRG?
Metallographic Lab Technician Level I
The responsibility of this Lab Technician will be to prepare metallic samples for engineering evaluation and part process qualification. This person will be performing all critical processes of metallography and providing documented results to multiple teams such as Materials and Process Engineering. This person will be working closely with the Material Engineering group and Process Engineering alongside the QC team.
*W2 ONLY - US citizen or Green Card holders ONLY
*5 days a week on-site - 2nd & 3rd shift; 2nd shift preference
Qualifications:
- Lab Technician experience (would prefer someone who knows Metallographic)
- Familiar with a GMP environment
- Good work ethic
- Attention to detail/ organized
- Experience performing analysis and tests in the lab setting
- Ability to see and recognize the full color spectrum and other specific qualities when looking through a microscope
- Wear all required PPE when working with acids and powder
Nice to have:
- Experience in metallography
- Knowledge & experience with safe chemical storage and handling
