Molding Material Technician - 3rd Shift

Position: Mold Material Handler

Shift: 2nd

Department #: Molding 11 Needed: 1

Position Responsibilities:

• Clean and fill material hoppers to keep machines functioning, at mold changes and for start-up of molding machines.
• Maintain 5-S standards for plastic raw material warehouse and shop floor; empty scrap bins of purged material, runners, scrap parts, etc.
• Assist Mold Setters with mold changes including assist changing robot arms, de-gators and assembly machines as needed.
• Perform routine material sampling.
• Safely move material utilizing a forklift.
• Weigh and transfer raw materials.
• Perform proper labeling of WIP raw materials for inventory accuracy
• Issue material from inventory to WIP (using computer inventory database)
• Perform basic trouble-shooting of hoppers and material dryers.
• Ability to perform job functions using basic math skills
• Knowledge of handling hazardous waste.
• Observe & comply with all safety policies & procedures including LO/TO
• Good communication skills
• Ability to quickly assess situation and immediately make sound decisions.
• Ability to stand or walk on concrete floors up to 10 hours and ability to work in
• fluctuating temperatures.
• Ability to safely operate a Forklift / must be able to obtain forklift license.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of accuracy and
• productivity.
• 11. Basic knowledge of computer data entry.
