Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment, including UTVs, zero-turn mowers, forklifts, manlifts, trailers, and other company-owned vehicles and machinery. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations.
Duties
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repair on:
- UTVs and utility vehicles
- Zero-turn and commercial mowers
- Forklifts
- Manlifts and aerial work platforms
- Small engines and related equipment
- Trailers and support equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and safety inspections.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Order and manage parts inventory as needed.
- Ensure all equipment meets company and manufacturer safety standards.
- Respond to field service calls when equipment requires repair at job sites.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience preferred.
- Experience working on forklifts, aerial lifts, UTVs, commercial landscaping equipment, or construction equipment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to operate equipment safely for testing and diagnostics.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
