Tax Manager
Location: Chapel Hill, NC (Regional Remote Option Available)
Salary Range: $115,000 – $130,000
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead complex business tax engagements and provide strategic guidance to clients. This role focuses on partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations, with auto dealership experience as a significant plus. While local candidates are preferred, we are open to professionals from surrounding states.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, S corps, and C corps.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct advanced tax research and resolve complex tax issues.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to firm growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of advanced business tax experience (required).
- Experience with auto dealership tax matters is highly desirable.
- CPA license required.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Work Arrangement
- Local candidates preferred, but open to candidates from surrounding states.
- Regional remote option available with occasional travel to client sites.
