E-Billing Senior Manager

Position Overview
The E-Billing Senior Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of electronic billing operations for the firm. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate submission of electronic invoices, managing compliance with client-specific requirements, and driving process improvements. The position reports to the Billing Director and serves as a key liaison between billing teams, pricing, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee client rate setup and submissions within e-billing portals.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of electronic invoices to clients.
- Manage client setup for e-billing in collaboration with internal teams.
- Monitor accrual submissions to vendor sites and coordinate with billing teams.
- Collaborate with the Pricing Team to ensure proper rate sets and lead annual rate increase submissions.
- Supervise and guide e-billing staff, providing training and support as needed.
- Maintain e-billing vendor sites and internal databases to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Handle escalated client issues and negotiate complex e-billing matters.
- Serve as primary point of contact for client inquiries related to e-billing and payments.
- Review existing e-billing processes and implement streamlined, standardized procedures.
- Generate and analyze e-billing reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and participate in projects to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10 years of e-billing experience in a law firm environment.
- MUST have at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Expertise with BillBlast and familiarity with major billing systems (e.g., Aderant).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of e-billing vendor sites and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Schedule & Compensation
- Hybrid schedule: 2–3 days per week in Midtown NYC office.
- $170,000 - $215,000 (Compensation commensurate with experience).
Salary : $185,000 - $215,000
