The PA PUC is seeking an experienced IT Contractor with a minimum of 2 years’ experience performing technical work in information technology security and support fields. This is a cross-team position to fulfill duties within our security and help desk teams.
Responsibility:
- Provide general technology support
- Respond to and implement support tickets
- Assist documenting and managing incidents and vulnerabilities
- Perform network monitoring and reporting
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and policies.
The ideal candidate should be capable of working collaboratively between teams while also demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Experience in helpdesk related support
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to collaborate with peers, between teams, and stakeholders
- Experience with Microsoft server and workstation operating systems
- Experience with Microsoft O365 products
- Experience with incident reporting and support ticketing systems
- Experience with network and computer security testing tools
- Experience reading and interpreting security logs and reports
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices of information security
- Knowledge of business process analysis methods
- Responds promptly to technical, system and/or emergency issues when contacted outside of scheduled work hours, remotely or in person as needed
- Perform related work as required
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Stays up to date with cybersecurity trends and risks
- Experience working with Tenable and Splunk
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and technologies
- Associate’s degree or current certifications within information technology
