Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Kansas City, MO. The Project Manager will oversee custom furniture projects from concept through installation, coordinating timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure on-time and on-spec delivery. Daily responsibilities include communicating with clients, designers, and the production team; preparing and tracking project schedules; and resolving issues related to materials, fabrication, and installation. The role involves managing logistics and expediting, including material orders, vendor coordination, and delivery planning. The Project Manager will also monitor quality, conduct inspections as needed, document project status, and contribute to continuous improvement of project processes and client experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
- Proficiency in Expeditor and Expediting responsibilities, ensuring timely ordering, tracking, and delivery of materials and components.
- Background in Logistics Management, with the ability to coordinate shipping, receiving, and installation schedules for multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience with Inspection processes, quality checks, and resolving issues related to fabrication, finishes, and installation standards.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients, designers, production teams, and vendors.
- Proficiency with project management and productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, project scheduling software); CAD or design software familiarity is a plus.
- Prior experience in furniture, millwork, construction, or related custom fabrication industries is preferred.
