Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical history reviews and physical examinations to assess patient health status.
- Diagnose acute and chronic conditions utilizing clinical judgment, laboratory results, and diagnostic imaging when necessary.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, including medication management, lifestyle counseling, and follow-up strategies.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with specialists in fields such as cardiology, endocrinology, psychiatry, pediatrics, and others to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide health coaching and preventive services including immunizations, screenings, and education on wellness practices.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient cases with a focus on patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with a valid state medical license or eligibility for licensure.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Proven experience in outpatient primary care settings with familiarity in managing diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or other electronic health record platforms.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and clinical evaluation techniques.
- Ability to perform basic procedures including suturing, venipuncture, and vital signs assessment confidently.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and education.
- Experience working within hospital or clinic environments with exposure to inpatient care is preferred.
