What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foster Care Supervisor position at Spurwink Services?
Spurwink is seeking a full time (32-40 hours a week) Treatment Foster Care and Foster Care Recruitment Supervisor to lead the way in implementing innovative strategies to bolster excitement about fostering in Maine. The ideal candidate will have 4 years of recruitment/marketing experience, a good understanding of the foster care system in Maine, and be highly skilled at developing and sustaining positive connections in the community. Experience in a leadership role and a passion for improving the lives of children and families involved in foster care are a must! Excellent communication and organizational skills are also vital.
This position will start in January 2026.
DUTIES:
- Recruit specialized foster homes within the confines of the DHHS contract as well as foster care standards.
- Ensure each staff meets contract compliance and recruitment goals.
- Provide and participate in individual and group supervision.
- Accurately track and report marketing efforts and results; analyzing outcomes to guide future marketing and planning decisions.
- Engage and collaborate with DHHS, community partners, and other relevant entities.
- Be the primary point of contact and representative of Spurwink and TFC recruiting events.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all foster parents and clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required. Experience in social services, community organizing, marketing or relevant sales. Must have experience understanding and presenting detailed information to others, as well as public speaking and customer service experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
