Griffin Spalding County Schools is seeking dedicated and compassionate Substitute Paraprofessionals to support our students and teachers. As a Substitute Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment. This position offers a flexible, on-call schedule based on the school's standard schedule. While opportunities outside of the regular school schedule are not guaranteed, this role provides instructional support to teachers and other school staff, enhancing the learning experience for students. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, adaptable, and passionate about education. The compensation for this role is $13.00 per hour. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and the physical learning environment.
- Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Provide individual and group instructional support to reinforce skills and concepts.
- Assist with planning and preparation for group and individual activities.
- Offer enrichment and remedial assistance as needed to support student learning.
- Assist with testing and evaluation to determine student progress.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED (Required) (Required)
- Associate's Degree (Conditional - required if not passing GACE Paraprofessional Assessment) (Preferred)
- GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Results (Conditional - required if not possessing Associate's Degree; score of 250 or higher required) (Preferred)
- Georgia Gemalto Background check (Required) (Preferred)
