Position Overview
Spur Logistics is seeking a motivated and driven Summer Operations Intern to join our team full-time. The Operations Intern will support the daily execution of a high-volume delivery operation within an Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP). This role focuses on logistics coordination, driver support, performance tracking, and fleet management to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time package delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily dispatch operations, including route readiness, driver check-in, and load-out coordination
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics (delivery times, safety, efficiency)
- Assist with driver support, communication, and issue resolution
- Participate in recruiting efforts, including job fairs and onboarding coordination
- Assist with fleet management, including monitoring vehicle availability, coordinating maintenance, tracking downtime, and ensuring vehicles meet Amazon compliance standards
- Conduct vehicle audits and help ensure vans are clean, fueled, and delivery-ready
- Contribute to special projects and operational expansion efforts
