Position OverviewSpur Logistics is seeking a motivated Hiring & Recruiting Intern to support and improve our hiring process from start to finish. This role is ideal for students interested in recruiting, talent acquisition, or people-focused business roles.
This is a hands-on internship where you’ll actively help source candidates, communicate with applicants, and improve hiring systems—not just assist with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with candidate sourcing and outreach through platforms like Indeed and Handshake
- Screen applicants and coordinate interviews with candidates and managers
- Manage and track applicants throughout the hiring process
- Support job postings and optimize listings to attract strong candidates
- Communicate with candidates (text, email, phone) to schedule and follow up
- Assist with onboarding coordination for new hires
- Participate in job fairs and recruiting events
- Help identify ways to improve hiring efficiency and candidate experience
- Maintain accurate and organized applicant records
- Hands-on experience in recruiting and hiring strategy
- Exposure to high-volume hiring in a fast-paced environment
- Experience communicating with candidates and managing pipelines
- Insight into what makes candidates successful in the hiring process
- Direct involvement in improving real business operations
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Psychology, or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in recruiting, hiring, or people-focused roles
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office preferred
- Experience in customer service, sales, or administrative roles
- Strong people skills and confidence communicating with others
