Company & Role Overview
Springwood Executive has been engaged on a CFO mandate for a U.S. private equity-backed software and tech-enabled services platform supporting government and public sector entities.
The platform delivers mission-critical software infrastructure and workflow technology that underpins essential public services, compliance, operations, citizen engagement, and analytics. With institutional PE backing, the platform is entering its next phase of scale and professionalisation.
The CFO will operate as a true right hand to the CEO and PE, setting finance strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and preparing the business for future exit.
Three Key Responsibilities
- Finance Leadership – Build and lead a best-in-class finance organisation covering Accounting, FP&A, compliance, RevOps, and business intelligence to support a multi-product, multi-state platform with complexity and scale.
- Board, PE & Stakeholder Partnership - Own board-level reporting, sponsor communications, forecasting, KPI discipline, and performance transparency. Operate as a trusted thought-partner to the CEO and PE sponsor.
- Value Creation, M&A & Exit Preparation- Drive EBITDA improvement, operational leverage, and cash performance while supporting active M&A execution and integration. Play a key leadership role in shaping and readying the organisation for future exit.
Three Key Experience Requirements
- Proven CFO within a PE-backed software or tech-enabled services platform, operating at $100M–$300M revenue scale.
- Demonstrated success across scaling, transformation, M&A execution/integration, with a preference of a track record exiting similar platforms.
- Dual lens of strong board presence, sponsor credibility, and hands-on, operational leadership, balancing strategy with execution.
