POSITION: MATHEMATICS TEACHER, 6th GRADE – CONTRACTED POSITION
LOCATION: SPRINGTON LAKE MIDDLE SCHOOL
EFFECTIVE DATE: 2026 - 2027 SCHOOL YEAR
COMPENSATION: PER RTMEA CONTRACT
STARTING SALARY RANGE
$68,300 (Bachelor’s - Step 1) to $84,300 (Master’s - Step 6)
The Rose Tree Media School District and Springton Lake Middle School seek a dynamic and student-centered 6th Grade Mathematics Teacher who engages students in developing strong mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and quantitative thinking skills. The ideal candidate designs engaging, standards-aligned instruction that builds conceptual understanding while helping students apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations. We are seeking an educator who creates a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can actively participate, collaborate, and develop confidence as mathematical thinkers. This full-time, contracted position is available for the start of the 2026–2027 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education, elementary education, middle level education, or a related field.
- Active and valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Mathematics (7–12) or Middle Level Mathematics (4–8).
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction that promotes conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and support student growth.
- Commitment to developing students’ critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills through mathematics.
- Experience using assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
- Experience integrating technology and digital tools to support mathematics instruction and student engagement.
