We are now accepting applications for an Assistant General Manager with experience for our SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Frankfort, KY.
We will only consider candidates that have at least 2 years of hospitality experience.
Job Description
As an Assistant General Manager, you would be responsible for assisting the General Manager in managing daily hotel operations in the hotel’s continuing efforts to deliver exceptional guest service and financial profitability.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist in leading, directing and managing all hotel operations including, but not limited to, hotel budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, managing balanced scorecard performances, overseeing sales & marketing initiatives, responding to guest inquiries and resolving guest concerns / complaints, and complying with all company policies and brand standards.
- Assist General Manager in recruiting, hiring, supervising, training, coaching, counseling and recognizing and rewarding staff.
- Oversee service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, brand standard compliance, and service and financial measurement.
- Assist in identifying gaps in operational and productivity performances.
- Serve and act as General Manager in their absence.
Accountability
Management position in a small to mid-sized, limited-service, single-site hotel with a limited range of facilities. Functions will include Front Office, Housekeeping, Security, F&B, Engineering and the management responsibility of any outsourced hotel contracts. Typically, responsible for hotel revenues of less than $5 million. Position typically reports to the General Manager.
Qualifications and requirements
Minimum of two years of prior hotel experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience required may vary based on size and complexity of operation. Must speak fluent English.
