What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Houseman position at SpringHill Suites by Marriott?
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain common areas of the hotel
- Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and wash windows
- Restock supplies such as toiletries and towels
-Occasionally pulling linen from guest rooms
-Breaking down and setting up tables and chairs for all events
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
- Shampooing carpet
- Collaborate with housekeeping management to ensure efficient operations
-Painting, changing filters, replacing light bulbs, and small maintenance guest needs
- Setting up and breaking down tables in the event center
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial or industrial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
