Overview
As a Laundry/Lobby Attendant, you’ll keep laundry and shared spaces clean, orderly, and ready for guests. You’ll handle textiles with care, operate laundry equipment, and provide helpful customer service while following sanitation and safety standards. Your impact: Clean, well-cared-for laundry and welcoming lobby spaces help guests feel comfortable and supported.
Responsibilities
- Sort, load, wash, dry, and fold laundry; use laundry detergents appropriately and follow garment care instructions.
- Operate garment care machines and industrial dryers; perform textile cleaning and dry cleaning tasks when assigned and trained.
- Move laundry and supplies using push carts, applying safe materials handling and manual handling practices, including when lifting heavy items.
- Clean and sanitize laundry areas and lobby spaces; maintain equipment and work areas in line with safety standards in production.
- Assist guests courteously, respond to service needs, and follow safety protocols while completing assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Cleaning, laundry, or laundry services experience is helpful; related experience is not required if you can learn the work.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, pushing carts, and heavy lifting, using safe handling techniques.
- Basic math skills to count, sort, and track laundry or supplies.
- Commitment to sanitation, safety standards, and safety protocol adherence.
- Customer service skills and willingness to learn laundry detergents, garment care, machine operation, industrial dryers, laundry washing, textile cleaning, and dry cleaning procedures.
- Clean and maintain all public spaces, indoor and outdoor.
- Must be able to walk stairs.
- Must be able to strip linen from guest rooms.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have open availability.
Pay: $12.00 - $12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
