What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Tech - Gulf Coast Surgical Partners position at Springhill Medical Center?
- Pre- Employment Requirements:
- We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required .
- Education Requirements :
- Must be a high school graduate (or equivalent).
- Must have completed a recognized Surgical Technologist training program or have completed on the job training in the OR with a performance evaluation.
- Job Requirements :
- One year of operating room scrub experience is preferred.
- Basic Life Support preferred.
Experience in Orthopedic, Urology, ENT and outpatient surgery preferred.
Must be able to communicate effectively and work compatibly with all physicians and staff.
Possess strong organizational skills and a clear understanding of the importance of cost effectiveness in an outpatient surgery center.
Must be flexible in job duties and work schedule.
Must have the knowledge and clinical skills to perform the job duties of a Surgical Technologist.
Knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation is required.
Must have an aptitude for understanding, operating, and troubleshooting machines and equipment.
