What are the responsibilities and job description for the Care Tech- ER (Fulltime- 7p-7a) position at Springhill Medical Center?
Hours Per Week: 72
Fulltime- Nights: 7pm-7am
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.
Education Requirements:
- Validation of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Certification Requirements (Must be certified in Alabama):
- CNA
- Will consider Medical Assistant and teach bedside care.
- Will consider Paramedic/EMT experience and teach bedside care.
- Will consider care technician applicant with at least 3 years of recent patient care experience.
- BLS completion within 90 days of hire date - If currently enrolled in a nursing program, completion of Fundamentals of Nursing is a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of Nurse Managers, RN's and LPN's.
- Provides for personal care, comfort, and assures patient safety.
- Must be dependable, hardworking, and a team player with a good attitude and professional behavior.
- Applicants will be responsible for vital signs, assisting nursing personnel, and helping patients with basic daily needs.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
- Other duties as assigned.
