What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer l position at Springhill Hospitals Inc?
Position Overview: This is a full-time opening. Preferred shift will be discussed in interview.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.
Education:
- Must be able to provide validation of a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
Job Requirements:
- Prior law enforcement or security experience required.
- Must be able to follow oral and written orders, assist patients in wheelchairs in excess of 200 pounds.
- Must be able to walk long and short distances and stand for long periods of time.
- Must display excellent customer service skills and fit in with our company's family-centered culture.
- Must be available for all shifts, weekends and holidays.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Investigates, documents, and manages security incidents and hazards.
- Emergency/Disaster Preparedness plans.
- Demonstrate a willingness to participate in additional training as required.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills is a plus.
- Conforms to all uniform and grooming standards.
- Provides information and guidance to staff and visitors in a healthcare environment.
