Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Head JV Girl's Basketball Coach at Springfield High School for the 26/27 School Year. Individuals in these positions are responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the OSAA, adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of Springfield High School, Springfield School District and the OSAA. Coaches are expected to conduct him or herself in a loyal, honest, responsible, ethical and professional manner at all times.
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Previous High School basketball coaching experience;
- Effective communication skills;
- Work schedule that allows for flexibility with practice and game schedules;
- NFHS/OSAA certified and First Aid certified;
- Willingness to work within the school and athletic guidelines;
- Ability to organize a complete basketball program grades 9-12;
- Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.
- Fundraising knowledge and/or capabilities;
- Ability to be District Van Certified;
- Understanding of OSAA rules and regulations;
- Ability to work with parents and booster clubs.
