Duties
- Assist students in developing and mastering fundamental skills in reading, writing, science, and mathematics.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to reinforce key concepts.
- Encourage student engagement and participation in instructional activities.
- Support attendance tracking by recording student participation and engagement.
- Assist in monitoring student behavior and implementing classroom expectations.
- Communicate observations with teachers to ensure student success.
- Supervise students during breakfast and lunch periods to ensure a structured and safe environment.
- Provide assistance during transitions between activities and maintain positive student interactions.
- Follow all school safety procedures and behavioral expectations.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
- Support teachers and program staff with classroom materials and activities.
- Assist in technology use for instructional purposes.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Presently employed as a paraprofessional for Springfield Public Schools
- Relates well to students, parents, and other teachers/staff members.
- Understands the interests and needs of Springfield Public Schools most at-risk students.
- Computer/Internet aptitude.
- Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.
- Secured position for school year 2026-2027.
