Assists with all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the
Transportation Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Above
position is illustrative of the tasks and responsibilities. It is not

description does not constitute an employment agreement between the
Springfield Public Schools and the employee and is subject to change by
the Springfield Public Schools as the needs and requirements of the job
change. Must be available from 6:00 AM ? 10:00 AM. Drives throughout the
city to check on Crossing Guards. Distributes timecards, vests, signs,
and other equipment as needed for Crossing Guards. Monitors the call-out
line and reassigns staff to different posts when necessary. May be
required to drive School Department personnel to various locations.
Reports directly to the Crossing Guard Manager. Does Daily Reporting at
the end of shift MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience
High school diploma (or GED equivalent) required. At least one year of
Experience In An Office Setting Preferred. Equivalent Education Or
experience may be substituted. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES Strong
problem-solving ability and sound judgment. Ability to remain calm and
professional in challenging situations. Ability to handle inquiries or
complaints in a courteous and effective manner. Ability to follow oral
and written instructions and procedures Ability to collect, organize,
and interpret data and prepare accurate records Ability to establish and
maintain constructive and cooperative interpersonal relationships with
staff, peers, supervisors, or managers in the work unit and other
departments, as well as with staff of outside entities and other
