Springfield Manufacturing, Inc, located outside Charlotte in Clover, SC is seeking a
CNC Operator to join our growing business of highly technical CNC machine part processing. We are currently recruiting for 3rd shift (10:00PM-6:00 AM Mon-Fri)
Springfield Manufacturing Inc provides advanced manufacturing technology solutions to the aerospace, defense, energy, and industrial markets. The company operates in a clean, air-conditioned environment with CNC capabilities that include waterjet processing, grinding, laser additive manufacturing, EDM processing, milling and other specialized processes.
Responsibilities:
- Independently operate multi-axis CNC machines in a low volume, highly quality-focused environment
- React to part variations via changes, offsets, etc.
- Perform set-up and dry run of fixtures and processes
- Perform required quality inspections on parts in process using various gages and document results
- Perform routine daily maintenance and upkeep of CNC machinery. Maintain cleanliness of the equipment and the shop floor.
- Highly motivated individual who promotes teamwork with subordinates and peers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous and proven CNC machine operator experience required. 4 and 5 axis experience a strong plus
- Experience with various CNC control interfaces, making offsets, G and M codes.
- Experience performing set-ups and calibrations of fixtures and machines
- Ability to read a basic blueprint required
- Experience with standard gages for inspection (calipers, mics, indicators, etc.)
- Good communication, interpersonal and mechanical skills. A team player
- Computer skills (data entry, spreadsheet entry) and experience required
- Forklift and general warehouse experience a strong plus
