The Assistant Wrestling Coach is responsible for helping to manage all aspects of the Wrestling program. The coach will foster student-athlete development by emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, skill development, and academic success while ensuring compliance with school, league, and state athletic regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct practices that develop individual and team skills
Coach and supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, and team activities
Promote good sportsmanship, leadership, and positive character
Maintain effective communication with student-athletes, parents, school administration and the athletic department
Ensure the safety and well-being of all student athletes
Monitor student-athlete eligibility and academic progress
Supervise team personnel as assigned
Help maintain and inventory program equipment and uniforms
Follow all school, conference, and MIAA rules, policies and procedures
Perform other coaching duties as assigned
