What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drama - Set Builder - SHS position at SPRINGFIELD HIGH SCHOOL?
The theater set builder is responsible for physically constructing the scenery and sets for a theatrical production, following the director's design plans, using carpentry skills to build frameworks, backdrops, props, and other necessary elements to create the stage environment for a performance. The builder will meet with the director to create a construction schedule. The set builder will be asked to come in, on occasion, to work with students in Theater Tech and Design to have them assist in the construction of the set. Set builder can come in on their own time and during rehearsals to work on construction.
