Front Desk Receptionist
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in the system
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or payments from patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, and scanning documents
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist 2 to 3 years or in a similar role preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic dental record systems such as Dentrix and Dexis.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
